Narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Who among you has fasted today?" Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I have. He (peace be upon him) asked: "Who among you has visited a sick person today?" Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I have. He (peace be upon him) asked: "Who among you has attended a funeral today?" Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I have attended the funeral. He (peace be upon him) asked: "Who among you has fed a poor person today?" Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I have fed (a poor person). Marwan bin Mu'awiyah (may Allah have mercy on him) says that it has reached me that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When these qualities are combined in a man in a single day, he will certainly enter Paradise."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) went to the house of Sayyidah Umm al-Sa'ib (may Allah be pleased with her), and she was trembling. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked: "What is the matter with you?" She replied: "I have a fever, may Allah disgrace it."
