بَابُ مَنْ هَجَرَ أَخَاهُ سَنَةً
Chapter: One Who Abandons His Brother for a Year
Hadith 404
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا حَيْوَةُ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عُثْمَانَ الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي الْوَلِيدِ الْمَدَنِيُّ، أَنَّ عِمْرَانَ بْنَ أَبِي أَنَسٍ حَدَّثَهُ، عَنْ أَبِي خِرَاشٍ السُّلَمِيِّ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: ”مَنْ هَجَرَ أَخَاهُ سَنَةً، فَهُوَ كَسَفْكِ دَمِهِ.“
Narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Khirash Salmi (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: "Whoever severs ties with his brother for a year, it is as if he has shed his blood."
Hadith 405
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي الْوَلِيدِ الْمَدَنِيُّ، أَنَّ عِمْرَانَ بْنَ أَبِي أَنَسٍ حَدَّثَهُ، أَنَّ رَجُلاً مِنْ أَسْلَمَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَدَّثَهُ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ”هِجْرَةُ الْمُسْلِمِ سَنَةً كَدَمِهِ“، وَفِي الْمَجْلِسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، وَعَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَبِي عَتَّابٍ، فَقَالاَ: قَدْ سَمِعْنَا هَذَا عَنْهُ.
Sayyiduna Abu Khirash Salami (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), he said: "To abandon a believer for a year is equivalent to killing him." In the gathering were also Muhammad bin Munkadir and Abdullah bin Abi 'Atab; both of them said that we have also heard from them in the same way.
