بَابُ هِجْرَةِ الْمُسْلِمِ
Chapter: Migration of a Muslim
Hadith 398
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ”لَا تَبَاغَضُوا، وَلاَ تَحَاسَدُوا، وَلَا تَدَابَرُوا، وَكُونُوا عِبَادَ اللهِ إِخْوَانًا، وَلَا يَحِلُّ لِمُسْلِمٍ أَنْ يَهْجُرَ أَخَاهُ فَوْقَ ثَلاَثِ لَيَالٍ.“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Do not bear hatred against one another, do not envy one another, and do not turn your backs on one another. O servants of Allah! Be brothers to one another, and it is not lawful for a Muslim to remain angry with his (Muslim) brother for more than three nights."
Hadith 399
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي يُونُسُ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ اللَّيْثِيِّ ثُمَّ الْجُنْدَعِيِّ، أَنَّ أَبَا أَيُّوبَ صَاحِبَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ”لاَ يَحِلُّ لأَحَدٍ أَنْ يَهْجُرَ أَخَاهُ فَوْقَ ثَلاَثِ لَيَالٍ، يَلْتَقِيَانِ فَيَصُدُّ هَذَا وَيَصُدُّ هَذَا، وَخَيْرُهُمَا الَّذِي يَبْدَأُ بِالسَّلامِ.“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Ayyub Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "It is not permissible for anyone to shun his brother for more than three nights, such that when they meet, this one turns away and that one turns away as well. And the better of the two is the one who initiates the greeting of peace (salam)."
Hadith 400
حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سُهَيْلٌ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ”لَا تَبَاغَضُوا، وَلَا تَنَافَسُوا، وَكُونُوا عِبَادَ اللهِ إِخْوَانًا.“
Narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Do not bear hatred towards one another, nor compete with one another for worldly gains, and be brothers to one another, servants of Allah."
Hadith 401
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرٌو، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ سِنَانِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ”مَا تَوَادَّ اثْنَانِ فِي اللهِ جَلَّ وَعَزَّ أَوْ فِي الإِسْلاَمِ، فَيُفَرِّقُ بَيْنَهُمَا إِلاَّ بِذَنْبٍ يُحْدِثُهُ أَحَدُهُمَا.“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When two people love each other for the sake of Allah Almighty or because of Islam, then separation occurs between them due to the first sin committed by either of them."
Hadith 402
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَعْمَرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ قَالَ: قَالَتْ مُعَاذَةَ: سَمِعْتُ هِشَامَ بْنَ عَامِرٍ الأَنْصَارِيَّ، ابْنَ عَمِّ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، وَكَانَ قُتِلَ أَبُوهُ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ”لاَ يَحِلُّ لِمُسْلِمٍ أَنْ يُصَارِمَ مُسْلِمًا فَوْقَ ثَلاَثٍ، فَإِنَّهُمَا نَاكِبَانِ عَنِ الْحَقِّ مَا دَامَا عَلَى صِرَامِهِمَا، وَإِنَّ أَوَّلَهُمَا فَيْئًا يَكُونُ كَفَّارَةً عَنْهُ سَبْقُهُ بِالْفَيْءِ، وَإِنْ مَاتَا عَلَى صِرَامِهِمَا لَمْ يَدْخُلاَ الْجَنَّةَ جَمِيعًا أَبَدًا، وَإِنْ سَلَّمَ عَلَيْهِ فَأَبَى أَنْ يَقْبَلَ تَسْلِيمَهُ وَسَلاَمَهُ، رَدَّ عَلَيْهِ الْمَلَكُ، وَرَدَّ عَلَى الْآخَرِ الشَّيْطَانُ.“
Narrated from Sayyiduna Hisham bin ‘Amir (may Allah be pleased with him), whose father was martyred in Uhud, that he heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: “It is not lawful for a Muslim to cut off relations with another Muslim for more than three days. As long as both of them maintain this break in relations, both are deviating from the truth. Whoever among them returns to the truth, that is, restores the relationship, his initiative will be an expiation for his previous severance. If both of them die in a state of severed relations, neither of them will ever enter Paradise. If one of them greets the other with salam and the other refuses to accept his greeting, then an angel responds to the one who offered salam, and Satan responds to the one who refused.”
Hadith 403
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلاَمٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ”إِنِّي لَأَعْرِفُ غَضَبَكِ وَرِضَاكِ“، قَالَتْ: قُلْتُ: وَكَيْفَ تَعْرِفُ ذَلِكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ: ”إِنَّكِ إِذَا كُنْتِ رَاضِيَةً قُلْتِ: بَلَى، وَرَبِّ مُحَمَّدٍ، وَإِذَا كُنْتِ سَاخِطَةً قُلْتِ: لاَ، وَرَبِّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ“، قَالَتْ: قُلْتُ: أَجَلْ، لَسْتُ أُهَاجِرُ إِلا اسْمَكَ.
Narrated from Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I recognize your anger and your pleasure." She said: I asked, "O Messenger of Allah! How do you know?" He (peace be upon him) said: "When you are pleased, you say: 'Yes! By the Lord of Muhammad.' And when you are angry, you say: 'No! By the Lord of Ibrahim.'" She said: I replied, "That is true, but I only leave out your name."
