It is narrated from Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), he said: Whoever does not show mercy will not be shown mercy himself, and whoever does not forgive will not be forgiven, and he who does not consider repentance important is not given attention, and he who does not try to avoid sin is not protected from it.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Qarra bin Iyas (may Allah be pleased with him), he said: A man submitted, "O Messenger of Allah! Indeed, when I slaughter a goat, I feel compassion for it," or he said, "I feel pity while slaughtering a goat." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "If you show mercy to the goat, Allah will show mercy to you." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said this twice.
