Hadith 339
It is narrated from Abu Ma'mar (may Allah have mercy on him) that a man began to flatter an amir, so Sayyiduna Miqdad (may Allah be pleased with him) started throwing dust on his face and said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) commanded us to throw dust into the mouths of those who flatter.

It is narrated from Ata bin Abi Rabah (may Allah have mercy on him) that a man was praising another man in the presence of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both), so Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) took a handful of soil and began to throw it at his mouth and said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When you see those who praise (others excessively), throw dust in their mouths."

Hadith 341
It is narrated from Raja’ (may Allah have mercy on him) that one day I came to the mosque of the people of Basra with Sayyiduna Mihjan Aslami (may Allah be pleased with him), and at one of the doors, Sayyiduna Buraidah Aslami (may Allah be pleased with him) was sitting. Raja’ says that there was a man in the mosque who was called Sakbah, who used to perform very long prayers. When we reached the door of the mosque, Sayyiduna Buraidah (may Allah be pleased with him) was sitting wrapped in a cloak, and he had a humorous and playful nature, so he said: “O Mihjan! Will you pray like Sakbah?” Hearing this, Sayyiduna Mihjan (may Allah be pleased with him) did not reply and returned. Then Sayyiduna Mihjan (may Allah be pleased with him) said that once the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) took my hand and we kept walking until we climbed Mount Uhud. From there, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saw Madinah Tayyibah, so he turned towards it and said: “This town will be in a bad state when its inhabitants leave it at a time when it is flourishing. Dajjal will come to it, and he will find an angel at every one of its gates, so Dajjal will not be able to enter it.” After that, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) descended from the mountain until we entered the mosque, where he saw a man praying, performing bowing and prostration. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to me: “Who is this?” I began to praise him greatly. I said: O Messenger of Allah! This is so-and-so, so-and-so. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Stop, do not let him hear it, otherwise you will destroy him.” After that, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) continued walking until he reached the apartments, then he dusted off his hands and said: “The best deed of your religion is that which is easiest. The best deed of your religion is that which is easiest.” The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said this three times.
