بَابُ إِذَا أَقْبَلَ أَقْبَلَ جَمِيعًا، وَإِذَا أَدْبَرَ أَدْبَرَ جَمِيعًا
Chapter: When He Turned, He Turned Completely
Hadith 255
حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي مُوسَى بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ مَوْلَى ابْنَةِ قَارِظٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّهُ رُبَّمَا حَدَّثَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَيَقُولُ: حَدَّثَنِيهِ أَهْدَبُ الشُّفْرَيْنِ، أَبْيَضُ الْكَشْحَيْنِ، إِذَا أَقْبَلَ أَقْبَلَ جَمِيعًا، وَإِذَا أَدْبَرَ، أَدْبَرَ جَمِيعًا، لَمْ تَرَ عَيْنٌ مِثْلَهُ، وَلَنْ تَرَاهُ.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that sometimes while relating from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, he would say: The one who had long eyelashes, whose sides were white, narrated to me. When he turned his attention to someone, he would give full attention, and when he turned away, he would turn away completely. No eye has seen such a person, nor will any eye ever be able to see such a person.
