Narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "None of you should ever say: 'My slave (male) and my slave-girl (female),' and a slave should never say: 'My lord and my lady.' The owner should call the slave and slave-girl 'my young man' and 'my young woman,' and the slave should call the owner 'my master.' All of you are slaves of Allah, and the Lord is Allah, the Mighty and Majestic."

Mutarrif narrates from his father (Abdullah bin Shukhayr) that he said: I went with a delegation of Banu Amir to the service of the Prophet (ﷺ), and they said to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ): "You are our master." The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "The Master is Allah." They said: "You are more virtuous and honorable than us." The narrator says that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Say what you have to say, and do not let Satan make you his agent."
