بَابُ مَنْ عَدَّ عَلَى خَادِمِهِ مَخَافَةَ سُوءِ الظَّنِّ
Chapter: One Who Counts on His Servant Out of Fear of Suspicion
Hadith 168
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ حَارِثَةَ بْنِ مُضَرِّبٍ، عَنْ سَلْمَانَ قَالَ: إِنِّي لَأَعُدُّ الْعُرَاقَ عَلَى خَادِمِي مَخَافَةَ الظَّنِّ.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Salman al-Farsi (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I even count and keep bones with little meat on them, so that no suspicion arises about the servant (that he has stolen them).
Hadith 169
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ: أَنْبَأَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ حَارِثَةَ بْنَ مُضَرِّبٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ سَلْمَانَ: إِنِّي لَأَعُدُّ الْعُرَاقَ خَشْيَةَ الظَّنِّ.
Haritha bin Mudarrib says that I heard Sayyiduna Salman al-Farsi (may Allah be pleased with him) say: I even count bones with little meat on them to avoid suspicion.
