It is narrated from the noble wife of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), who says: A woman came to me with her two daughters. She asked me (for something), but I had only one date, which I gave to her. She divided it between her two daughters and then got up and left. The Prophet (peace be upon him) came, so I related this incident to him. He (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever is put in charge of daughters and treats them well, they will be a barrier for him from the Fire."
