It is narrated from Mujahid (may Allah have mercy on him) that I was with Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) and his servant was skinning a goat. He said: O boy! When you finish this work (preparing the meat, etc.), first give some meat to our Jewish neighbor. A man from the people present said: A Jew! (You are sending a gift to him), may Allah set you right. Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Indeed, I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) advising about the neighbor so much that we feared or thought that he would surely make him an heir.
