بَابُ الْجَارِ السُّوءِ
Chapter: The Bad Neighbor
Hadith 117
حَدَّثَنَا صَدَقَةُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ هُوَ ابْنُ حَيَّانَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلاَنَ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: كَانَ مِنْ دُعَاءِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ”اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ جَارِ السُّوءِ فِي دَارِ الْمُقَامِ، فَإِنَّ جَارَ الدُّنْيَا يَتَحَوَّلُ.“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that among the supplications of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was this supplication: "O Allah! I seek refuge with You from an evil neighbor in a permanent residence, for the neighbor during travel keeps changing."
Hadith 118
حَدَّثَنَا مَخْلَدُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَغْرَاءَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا بُرَيْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ”لَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى يَقْتُلَ الرَّجُلُ جَارَهُ وَأَخَاهُ وَأَبَاهُ.“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The Hour will not be established until a man kills his neighbor, his brother, and his father."
