بَابُ خَيْرِ الْجِيرَانِ
Chapter: The Best of Neighbors
Hadith 115
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا حَيْوَةُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا شُرَحْبِيلُ بْنُ شَرِيكٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْحُبُلِيَّ يُحَدِّثُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: ”خَيْرُ الأَصْحَابِ عِنْدَ اللهِ تَعَالَى خَيْرُهُمْ لِصَاحِبِهِ، وَخَيْرُ الْجِيرَانِ عِنْدَ اللهِ تَعَالَى خَيْرُهُمْ لِجَارِهِ.“
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that he said: "The best companion in the sight of Allah is the one who is best to his companion, and the best neighbor in the sight of Allah is the one who is best to his neighbor."
