بَابُ يَهْدِي إِلَى أَقْرَبِهِمْ بَابًا
Chapter: Give Gifts to the Neighbor Whose Door is Closest
Hadith 107
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مِنْهَالٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو عِمْرَانَ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ طَلْحَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنَّ لِي جَارَيْنِ، فَإِلَى أَيِّهِمَا أُهْدِي؟ قَالَ: ”إِلَى أَقْرَبِهِمَا مِنْكِ بَابًا.“
It is narrated from Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that I asked: O Messenger of Allah! I have two neighbors, to which of them should I send a gift? He said: "The one whose door is closer to your (house) among the two."
Hadith 108
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي عِمْرَانَ الْجَوْنِيِّ، عَنْ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، رَجُلٌ مِنْ بَنِي تَيْمِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنَّ لِي جَارَيْنِ، فَإِلَى أَيِّهِمَا أُهْدِي؟ قَالَ: ”إِلَى أَقْرَبِهِمَا مِنْكِ بَابًا.“
It is narrated from Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) through another chain that I said: O Messenger of Allah! I have two neighbors, to which of them should I send a gift? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "To the one whose door is closer to your (door), (send it to him first)."
