It is narrated from Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), she said that one day Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: By Allah! There is no one on the face of the earth more beloved to me than Umar. After saying this, he went out, and when he returned, he said: Daughter! How did I take the oath? I said to him: (You took the oath in this way). Then he said: (Umar) is dearest to me, however, (in being beloved) children are more deserving.

Hadith Takhrij«حسن : رواه ابن أبى داؤد فى مسند عاشر : 47 و اللالكائي فى السنة : 2502 و ابن عساكر فى تاريخه : 247/44»
It is narrated from Abdur Rahman bin Abu Na’m, he says: I was present with Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them). A man asked: What is the ruling on killing a mosquito (is it permissible or not)? Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) said: Where are you from? He replied: From Iraq. Then Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) said: Look at him! He asks about the permissibility of killing a mosquito, while they martyred the beloved child of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) (and did not care at all). I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: “They both (Hasan and Husayn, may Allah be pleased with them) are my flowers in this world.”
