بَابُ مَنْ أَدْرَكَ وَالِدَيْهِ فَلَمْ يَدْخُلِ الْجَنَّةَ
Chapter: One Who Finds His Parents but Does Not Enter Paradise
Hadith 21
حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ بِلاَلٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سُهَيْلٌ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ”رَغِمَ أَنْفُهُ، رَغِمَ أَنْفُهُ، رَغِمَ أَنْفُهُ“، قَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَنْ؟ قَالَ: ”مَنْ أَدْرَكَ وَالِدَيْهِ عِنْدَ الْكِبْرِ، أَوْ أَحَدَهُمَا، فَدَخَلَ النَّارَ.“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he reports from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said: "May that person be humiliated, disgraced, and abased." The companions asked: "O Messenger of Allah! Who?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The one who finds his parents, or one of them, in old age and then (by not serving them) enters the Fire."
