Hadith 966

It is narrated from Salamah bin Wardaan (may Allah have mercy on him) that I saw Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) shaking hands with people, so he asked me: Who are you? I replied: The freed slave of Banu Laith. He passed his hand over my head three times and said: May Allah bless you.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Maulana Usman Muneeb
Benefits and Issues:
At that time, Salamah bin Wardaan was a child, with whom Sayyiduna Anas radi Allahu anhu shook hands. From this, not only is his humility established, but also the importance of shaking hands is proven. In one narration, it is mentioned that when two Muslims shake hands, their sins fall away like the leaves of a tree. (Al-Saheehah by Al-Albani, Hadith: 525)
