Hadith 964

It is narrated from Abdur Rahman bin Sa’d (may Allah have mercy on him), he says that the foot of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) became numb, so a man said to him: "Mention the name of your most beloved person (and you will be cured)." He said: "Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)."

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Maulana Usman Muneeb
Benefits and Issues:
The chain of narration of this report is weak. If a person's name is invoked with the intention of seeking help, then this is clear shirk (associating partners with Allah). In times of distress, only Allah Ta'ala should be called upon.
