بَابُ أَدَبِ الْوَالِدِ وَبِرِّهِ لِوَلَدِهِChapter: The Father's Manners and Dutifulness to His Child
Hadith 92
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ نُمَيْرِ بْنِ أَوْسٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَاهُ يَقُولُ: كَانُوا يَقُولُونَ: الصَّلاَحُ مِنَ اللهِ، وَالأَدَبُ مِنَ الآبَاءِ.
It is narrated from Numeir bin Aws, he says that people (our elders) used to say: The ability to do good and to reform comes from Allah, and teaching manners is the responsibility of the parents.
