It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Sa’ib (may Allah be pleased with him) that in the year of Hudaybiyyah, when Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) mentioned the arrival of Suhail, that his people had sent him so that you (peace and blessings be upon him) may make peace with them on the condition that this year you (peace and blessings be upon him) return, and the next year they will vacate the House of Allah for the Muslims for three days. When their envoy came and it was told to you (peace and blessings be upon him) that Suhail had arrived, he said: “Allah Almighty has made your matter easy.” Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Sa’ib (may Allah be pleased with him) is a companion of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
Benefits and Issues: The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam took a good omen from the name Suhail and considered it blessed, believing that Allah Ta'ala would surely grant ease. And that this would be a source of blessing for the Muslims. Then, in reality, this is what happened: this treaty proved to be extremely blessed for the Muslims, and Allah Ta'ala declared it a clear victory.
