Narrated from Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw clouds, he would become (concerned), he would go inside, come out, and walk back and forth, and the color of his face would change. Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Maulana Usman Muneeb
Benefits and Issues: The form of punishment upon the people of ‘Ad was that dense clouds came over them, which they considered to be a mercy, but within those clouds was the punishment of Allah. Therefore, upon seeing clouds approaching, the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) would become anxious, fearing that perhaps punishment might descend upon us as well. However, when rain would fall, this state of his would end and he would become happy. From this, it is understood that upon seeing clouds, one should seek refuge from the punishment of Allah and ask for His mercy.
