Hadith 895

”وَبَابَانِ يُعَجَّلاَنِ فِي الدُّنْيَا: الْبَغْيُ، وَقَطِيعَةُ الرَّحِمِ.“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The punishment for two sins is hastened in this world as well: oppression and severing ties of kinship."

Benefits and Issues:
In one narration, it is explicitly stated that its punishment is given in the Hereafter as well as in this world, and in this world, one is certainly held accountable for it. (Sunan Abi Dawud) Therefore, one should protect oneself from this major sin. Further details of these ahadith have already been discussed in the benefits of Hadith 67. Oppressing someone and severing ties of kinship are extremely sensitive matters upon which every person should reflect seriously.
