Hadith 863

وَعَنْ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: ذَهَبْتُ أَسُبُّ حَسَّانَ عِنْدَ عَائِشَةَ، فَقَالَتْ: لاَ تَسُبَّهُ، فَإِنَّهُ كَانَ يُنَافِحُ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.
Sayyiduna Urwah (may Allah be pleased with him) says that I began to speak ill of Sayyiduna Hassan (may Allah be pleased with him) in the presence of Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), so she said: Do not speak ill of him, he used to defend the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) with his poetry.

Benefits and Issues:
Among those who slandered Sayyidah Aisha was Hazrat Hassan radi Allahu anhu as well; therefore, Sayyiduna Urwah rahimahullah spoke ill of him, but the Mother of the Believers radi Allahu anha stopped him, saying that he had already received his punishment and that he used to defend the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.
