It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Some poetry contains wisdom."

Benefits and Issues: The point is that some poetry is based on reality. Whatever is said in them is true; there is no falsehood included, and people derive lessons from them, just as in Urdu, the poetry of Iqbal or Zafar Ali Khan.
