It is narrated from Abdur Rahman bin Abu Na’m, he says: I was present with Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them). A man asked: What is the ruling on killing a mosquito (is it permissible or not)? Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) said: Where are you from? He replied: From Iraq. Then Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) said: Look at him! He asks about the permissibility of killing a mosquito, while they martyred the beloved child of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) (and did not care at all). I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: “They both (Hasan and Husayn, may Allah be pleased with them) are my flowers in this world.”
