It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If I remain alive, then insha’Allah I will forbid my ummah from naming (their children) Barakah, Nafi‘, and Aflah." I do not know whether the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also mentioned Rafi‘ or not...... "It is said: Is there Barakah here? So in response it is said: There is no Barakah here." Then, before the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) could forbid (this), he joined his Creator.
