حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ أَبِي الرَّوَّاعِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ: أَنَّ رَجُلاً كَانَ عِنْدَهُ، وَلَهُ بَنَاتٌ فَتَمَنَّى مَوْتَهُنَّ، فَغَضِبَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ فَقَالَ: أَنْتَ تَرْزُقُهُنَّ؟۔
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) that there was a man with him who had daughters. He wished for their death, so Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) became angry and said: Do you provide them with sustenance?
