Hadith 818

It is narrated from Taliq bin Habib, may Allah have mercy on him, that he said: I was among the most severe of those who denied intercession, so I asked Sayyiduna Jabir, may Allah be pleased with him, and he said: O Taliq! I heard the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, say: "People will be taken out after having entered Hell." And we also recite the same Qur'an that you recite.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Maulana Usman Muneeb
Benefits and Issues:
➊ In one narration, Taliq said that Allah the Exalted has stated:
“They will wish to come out of the Fire, but they will not be able to come out from it.”
Sayyiduna Jabir radi Allahu anhu said that we have also recited these verses, but the mention of eternal residence in Hell is for the disbelievers. As for the Muslim, provided he is not a polytheist, he will eventually come out of Hell.
➋ Sayyiduna Jabir radi Allahu anhu addressed Taliq as “Taliq” in the diminutive form, from which it is understood that calling someone by the diminutive form of their name is also permissible.
