It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurda (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Who will drive these camels of ours?" or he said: "Who will deliver these camels of ours?" A man said: I will perform this service. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked: "What is your name?" He said: So-and-so! The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Sit down." Then another person stood up and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked: "What is your name?" He said: So-and-so! The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Sit down." Then another stood up and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked: "What is your name?" He said: My name is Najiyah. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "You are for this task, you take these camels."

Benefits and Issues: The chain of narration of this report is weak; however, taking a good omen from a good name is established from authentic ahadith, as the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam took a good omen from the arrival of Suhail bin Amr at the occasion of the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah, and, in accordance with the meaning of Suhail’s name, said: “Now the matter has been made easy for you.”
