Hadith 810

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sahl bin Hunaif, may Allah be pleased with him, that he relates from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, that he said: "None of you should say, 'My soul has become evil,' but rather say: 'My soul and temperament have become disturbed.'" Imam Bukhari, may Allah have mercy on him, says: Aqil has narrated it in a musnad form.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Maulana Usman Muneeb
Benefits and Issues:
Shaykh al-Albani rahimahullah states that at the end of the narration, the phrase “Asnadahu ‘Uqayl” does not make any sense. In Sahih al-Bukhari, it is “tabi‘ahu ‘Uqayl” and this is what appears to be more appropriate and correct. This corroboration has been mentioned in a connected form by al-Tabarani.
