Hadith 793

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), he said: "And he will bring you the news... 'And he will bring you the news of that which you have not given.' This is a saying of a prophet."

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Maulana Usman Muneeb
Benefits and Issues:
The meaning of the statement of Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas radi Allahu anhuma is that this phrase appears to be divinely inspired. Although its well-known proponent is Tarafah himself, it seems as if it was uttered by a prophet, which was later transmitted by Tarafah.
