It is also narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him), who reports from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that he said: "None of you should say: 'Woe to time.' Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, says: 'I am Time. I send the night and the day, and when I wish, I will seize them.' And never call grapes 'karm,' for karm is a Muslim man."

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Maulana Usman Muneeb
Benefits and Issues: The alternation of time occurs by the command of Allah, the Exalted. Day and night are subject to Him alone. They do not disobey His command. The events that occur within it are also created by Allah, the Exalted; therefore, to speak ill of time is tantamount to reviling Allah Himself. Furthermore, the word "karm" was used by the Arabs for the grapevine and for the wine produced from it. Similarly, it was also used to refer to generosity. The Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) prohibited its use for grapes so that no confusion would arise, and so that this noble word would be used only for something good.
