حَدَّثَنَا عَارِمٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ: الْقَوْسُ: أَمَانٌ لأَهْلِ الأَرْضِ مِنَ الْغَرَقِ، وَالْمَجَرَّةُ: بَابُ السَّمَاءِ الَّذِي تَنْشَقُّ مِنْهُ.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) that he said: The rainbow is a protection for the people of the earth from drowning, and the constellation is a door of the sky through which the sky will be split.
