حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، عَنْ قَيْسٍ ، قَالَ : كَانَ عَمْرُو بْنُ الْعَاصِ ، يَسِيرُ مَعَ نَفَرٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ ، فَمَرَّ عَلَى بَغْلٍ مَيِّتٍ قَدِ انْتَفَخَ ، فَقَالَ : ”وَاللَّهِ ، لأَنْ يَأْكُلَ أَحَدُكُمْ هَذَا حَتَّى يَمْلأَ بَطْنَهُ ، خَيْرٌ مِنْ أَنْ يَأْكُلَ لَحْمَ مُسْلِمٍ .“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Qais (may Allah be pleased with him) that Sayyiduna Amr bin Al-Aas (may Allah be pleased with him) was passing by with some of his companions when they came across a dead mule, which had swollen due to being dead for a long time. He said: "By Allah, for any of you to eat this until he fills his stomach is better than eating the flesh of a Muslim."

The point is that just as you would not like to go near its flesh, in the same way you should also detest the backbiting of a Muslim, because human flesh is even more detestable than that.
