It is narrated from Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), she says that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked: Which act of worship is the best? He (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: "A person's supplication for himself."

Benefits and Issues:
The chain of narration of this report is weak; however, it was indeed the practice of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam that when supplicating, he would begin with himself. (Sahih Muslim, Al-Fada'il, Hadith: 2380)
