It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him), who reports from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that he said: "Whenever a Muslim supplicates, provided it is not for a sin or for severing ties of kinship, Allah grants him one of three things: either his supplication is answered immediately as he asked, or it is stored for him in the Hereafter, or a calamity of similar measure that was to befall him is averted from him." The narrator said: "Then we will supplicate a lot." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Allah is even more generous."
