بَابُ دَعَوَاتِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَChapter: The Prophet's ﷺ Supplications
Hadith 688
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُوسَى ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَدْعُو بِهَذَا الدُّعَاءِ : ”رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي خَطِيئَتِي وَجَهْلِي ، وَإِسْرَافِي فِي أَمْرِي كُلِّهِ ، وَمَا أَنْتَ أَعْلَمُ بِهِ مِنِّي ، اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي خَطَئِي كُلَّهُ ، وَعَمْدِي وَجَهْلِي وَهَزْلِي ، وَكُلُّ ذَلِكَ عِنْدِي . اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي مَا قَدَّمْتُ وَمَا أَخَّرْتُ ، وَمَا أَسْرَرْتُ وَمَا أَعْلَنْتُ ، أَنْتَ الْمُقَدِّمُ وَأَنْتَ الْمُؤَخِّرُ ، وَأَنْتَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ .“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) that he reports from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that he used to supplicate with these words: "O my Lord! Forgive my mistakes, my ignorance, and my exceeding the limits in all my affairs, and forgive all that You know better than I. O Allah! Forgive my intentional sins, my ignorance, and all my sins committed in jest. And all these sins have occurred from me. O Allah! Forgive my past and future sins, and my hidden and apparent sins. You are the One Who brings forward and You are the One Who delays, and You have power over all things."
