It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) that he said: Among the supplications of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was also this: "O Allah! I seek refuge in You from the removal of Your blessings, the change of Your well-being, Your sudden punishment, and all forms of Your displeasure."

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Maulana Usman Muneeb
Benefits and Issues: ➊ This supplication is among the comprehensive expressions, in that a vast ocean of meanings is encompassed within very few words. ➋ The meaning of the loss of blessings is: I seek Your refuge from the worldly and religious blessings—whether apparent or hidden—coming to an end in such a way that there is no replacement for them. And the meaning of the reversal of well-being (‘afiyah) is: I seek Your refuge from a situation where, in place of health and well-being, illness takes over, or in place of wealth, poverty takes over. ➌ Every calamity and trial is distressing, but if it occurs gradually, Allah, the Exalted, grants the strength to endure it. However, if the seizure is sudden, it is, in most cases, fatal; therefore, refuge is sought from such a sudden affliction. Furthermore, supplication is made to be protected from every action that incurs the displeasure of Allah, for even His slightest displeasure is a cause of destruction.
