بَابُ دَعَوَاتِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَChapter: The Prophet's ﷺ Supplications
Hadith 675
حَدَّثَنَا بَيَانٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْجُرَيْرِيُّ ، عَنْ ثُمَامَةَ بْنِ حَزْنٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ شَيْخًا يُنَادِي بِأَعْلَى صَوْتِهِ : اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الشَّرِّ لا يَخْلِطُهُ شَيْءٌ ، قُلْتُ : مَنْ هَذَا الشَّيْخُ ؟ قِيلَ : أَبُو الدَّرْدَاءِ .
It is narrated from Thumamah bin Hazn (may Allah have mercy on him) that I heard an old man reciting this supplication in a loud voice: "O Allah! I seek Your protection from evil, that not even a particle of it may touch me." I asked: Who is this elder? It was said: This is Sayyiduna Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him).
