حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْهَيْثَمُ بْنُ جَمِيلٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي حُسَيْنٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : ”إِنَّ أَوْثَقَ الدُّعَاءِ أَنْ تَقُولَ : اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ رَبِّي ، وَأَنَا عَبْدُكَ ، ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِي ، وَاعْتَرَفْتُ بِذَنْبِي ، لا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلا أَنْتَ ، رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي.“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The strongest supplication is that you say: «اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ رَبِّي، أَنَا عَبْدُكَ، ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِي، وَاعْتَرَفْتُ بِذَنْبِي، فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ، رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي» 'O Allah! You are my Lord and I am Your servant. I have wronged myself and I admit my sin. None forgives sins except You. O my Lord! Forgive me.'"
