بَابُ دَعَوَاتِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَChapter: The Prophet's ﷺ Supplications
Hadith 662
حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حِبَّانَ ، عَنْ لُؤْلُؤَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي صِرْمَةَ ، قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : ”اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ غِنَايَ وَغِنَى مَوْلايَ.“ ¤ حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى ، عَنْ مَوْلًى لَهُمْ ، عَنْ أَبِي صِرْمَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، مِثْلَهُ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sarmah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to supplicate: «اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ غِنَايَ وَغِنَى مَوْلاَيَ» "O Allah! I ask You for self-sufficiency and wealth for myself and my dependents." It is also narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sarmah (may Allah be pleased with him) through another chain in a similar manner.
