بَابُ مَنْ دَعَا بِطُولِ الْعُمُرِChapter: Supplicating for Long Life
Hadith 652
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ مَوْلَى أُمِّ قَيْسِ ابْنَةِ مِحْصَنٍ ، عَنْ أُمِّ قَيْسٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ لَهَا : ”مَا قَالَتْ : طَالَ عُمْرُهَا؟“، وَلا نَعْلَمُ امْرَأَةً عُمِّرَتْ مَا عُمِّرَتْ.
It is narrated from Sayyida Umm Qais (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to her: "What did she say? May Allah prolong her life." We do not know of any woman whose life was as long as that of this woman (Sayyida Umm Qais, may Allah be pleased with her).
