Hadith 638

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “The most beloved words to Allah Almighty are: «سبحان الله وبحمده، لا شريك له، له الملك وله الحمد، وهو على كل شيء قدير، لا حول ولا قوة إلا بالله، سبحان الله والحمد لله» Allah Almighty is pure, He has no partner, sovereignty belongs to Him, all praise is for Him, and He has full power over everything. Abstaining from sin and the ability to do good is only from Allah. Allah is pure, and with His praise (we are engaged).”

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Maulana Usman Muneeb
Benefits and Issues:
The point is that the best thing that can come from a servant’s tongue is the utterance of the aforementioned words. Therefore, a person should abandon backbiting and other evil speech, and instead keep these words flowing on his tongue. The virtues of various phrases that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam has mentioned on different occasions are partial; collectively, these words are the most beloved to Allah, the Exalted.
