It is narrated from Thabit (may Allah have mercy on him) that whenever Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) prayed for any of his brothers, he would say: "May Allah make him deserving of the prayers of the righteous people who are neither oppressors nor sinners, who stand in prayer at night and fast during the day."

Benefits and Issues:
This narration is also established in a marfu‘ form that when the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) would supplicate abundantly for someone, he would do so with these very words. (As-Saheehah of Al-Albani, Hadith: 1810) Furthermore, this narration shows that whoever wishes for his supplication to be accepted should be diligent in standing for night prayer (qiyam al-layl) and fasting (sawm), or should request supplication from people who possess such qualities. On the contrary, sinfulness, wickedness, and oppression are obstacles to the acceptance of supplication.
