Hadith 63

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abi Awfa (may Allah be pleased with him), who reported from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that he said: "Indeed, the mercy of Allah does not descend upon a people among whom there is one who severs the ties of kinship."

Benefits and Issues:
This narration is weak; in its chain of transmission is Abu Adam, who is a liar and abandoned in hadith. However, one should not sit with those who are disobedient to Allah, nor should they be allowed to sit in one’s gatherings, because the effects of bad company inevitably occur in any case.
