Narrated from Sayyiduna Shaddad bin Aws (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: «اللَّهُمَّأَنْتَرَبِّي، لا إِلَهَإِلاأَنْتَ،خَلَقْتَنِيوَأَنَاعَبْدُكَ،وَأَنَاعَلَىعَهْدِكَوَوَعْدِكَمَااسْتَطَعْتُ،أَعُوذُبِكَمِنْشَرِّمَاصَنَعْتُ،أَبُوءُلَكَبِنِعْمَتِكَ،وَأَبُوءُلَكَبِذَنْبِي،فَاغْفِرْلِي،فَإِنَّهُ لا يَغْفِرُالذُّنُوبَإِلاأَنْتَ.» "The chief of supplications for forgiveness is for a servant to say: 'O Allah, You are my Lord, there is no deity except You. You created me and I am Your servant, and I am upon Your covenant and promise as much as I am able. I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done. I acknowledge Your blessings upon me and I confess my sins to You, so forgive me, for none forgives sins except You.' Whoever says these words during the day with firm belief in them and dies before evening, he will be among the people of Paradise. And whoever says them at night with firm belief in them and dies before morning, he will be among the people of Paradise."
