It is narrated from Abu Ayyub, whose name is Sulaiman, that Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) came to us on a Thursday evening and said: I say emphatically that whoever is one who severs ties of kinship should get up and leave from here. But no one got up, until he repeated this statement three times. Then a young man got up and went to one of his paternal aunts with whom he had severed relations for two years. He went to her, and she said: My nephew! What is the reason for your coming? The young man said: I heard Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) saying such and such. She said: Go and ask him why he said this. (When he asked,) he replied: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: "The deeds of the children of Adam are presented before Allah every Thursday night, and the deeds of one who severs ties of kinship are not accepted."
