It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would enter the morning, he would supplicate: “We have entered the morning for Allah, and all sovereignty belongs to Allah, and all kinds of praise are for Allah, who has no partner. There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, and to Him is the resurrection.” And when he would enter the evening, he would supplicate: “We have entered the evening for Allah, and all sovereignty in the evening is for Him. All praise is for Allah alone, He has no partner. There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, and to Him is the return.”
