Hadith 591

Bakar bin Abdul Aziz (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from his father, from his grandfather Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The punishment for every sin, if Allah wills, He postpones until the Day of Resurrection, except for rebellion, disobedience to parents, and severing ties of kinship; the punishment for these Allah gives in this world before death."

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Maulana Usman Muneeb
Benefits and Issues:
The punishment for sin is sometimes given in this world, sometimes in the Hereafter, sometimes delayed and sometimes hastened, and sometimes when a person repents, its punishment is averted. However, rebellion and the aforementioned sins are such that their punishment is meted out in this world as well as in the Hereafter, except if a person repents.
