Hadith 573

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ الأَزْرَقُ، عَنْ أَبِي عُمَرَ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْحَنَفِيَّةِ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ‏:‏ ”الشَّاةُ فِي الْبَيْتِ بَرَكَةٌ، وَالشَّاتَانِ بَرَكَتَانِ، وَالثَّلاَثُ بَرَكَاتٌ‏.‏“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Keeping a goat in the house is a blessing, keeping two goats is two blessings, and keeping three goats is three blessings."
