حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عُفَيْرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ، عَنِ ابْنِ زَحْرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْهَيْثَمِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ قَالَ: لاَ حَلِيمَ إِلاَّ ذُو عَثْرَةٍ، وَلاَ حَكِيمَ إِلاَّ ذُو تَجْرِبَةٍ. حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْحَارِثِ ، عَنْ دَرَّاجٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْهَيْثَمِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، مِثْلَهُ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: "Only the one who stumbles becomes forbearing, and only the one with experience becomes wise." In another chain, Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id (may Allah be pleased with him) has also narrated this as a marfu' (attributed to the Prophet).

Both chains of narration for this report are weak. In the first chain, Ubaydullah ibn Zumr is weak, and in the second, Darraj is the narrator who, when he narrates from Abu al-Haytham, is considered weak.
